So, I'm having a conversation with someone that I think is going no where.
In my opinion, it is not a matter of judging someone or not to speak up if you see them doing things that are harmful to themselves. If you LOVE someone you're not going to sit around and watch while they do things that are slowly eating away at their lives in the name of "not judging them"; you're going to say something.
The other opinion: People are going to make their own individual choices and all that you can do is support them. Don't "judge" them by giving your opinion or expressing your thoughts about what they are doing because that will ruin the relationship.
Yeah, maybe that person won't like you for about ten minutes. Big deal. I'd rather be 'that person', the one who says something rather than the one who smiles and accepts everything as being okay.
"If you don't stand up for something you will fall for anything." I don't really know who said that, but it's very true.

Well put. I personally find it so hard to confront someone when it's vital. My problem is fear. Fear of rejection. But one cannot be handicapped by fear and just accept the ways of the world so easily. Like you blatantly said, ''If you don't stand up for something you will fall for anything''. Thanks for sharing! =D
